After starting conference play 1-4, the Dukes have won their last two A-10 matchups against Saint Louis and La Salle. Duquesne is on a three-game winning streak after earning a victory over Robert Morris (Oct. 9) in a midweek matchup.
The Dukes' conference losses came against Davidson, VCU and Dayton. Mason's three A-10 losses this season are from the same opponents.
Duquesne boasts a 5-3 record at home this season. The Dukes are led by freshman outside hitter Summer Slade with 2.79 points per set and 2.67 kills per set. On defense, senior Camryn Vecera controls the back line with 5.05 digs per set.
Duquesne and Mason's all-time series record sits tied at 6-6. Last season the Patriots fell to the Dukes twice on Sept. 23 (3-1) and Oct. 28 (3-0).
La Salle: 12-9 (4-3 Atlantic 10)
To begin A-10 play, the Explorers fell to VCU, 3-1. La Salle responded by defeating its next three conference opponents.
However, La Salle had a similar weekend to Mason as it fell in both weekend matches to drop to 4-3 in the conference.
La Salle most recently picked up a win over Delaware State, 3-1, on Tuesday night to round out non-conference play.
Mason leads the all-time series 7-2. In 2017, the Patriots went 1-1 against the Explorers. Mason defeated La Salle 3-2 on Sept. 24 in Philadelphia but fell to the Explorers 3-1 on Oct. 27 in Fairfax, Va.
