FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason Athletic Department held its annual Mason Madness festivities Friday night to kick off the 2018-19 basketball season.
The jam-packed evening featured a performance from the No. 1 pep band in the land - the George Mason Green Machine - as well as routines from the Patriot dance and cheer programs and Mason's Urbanknowlogy group.
In addition, the Amazing Christopher and Simon Sez performers entertained the crowd. During a special Simon Sez with the men's and women's basketball teams, men's freshman

Casey Davis claimed victory before more than 3,000 people in attendance.
#MasonNation also met the 2018-19 basketball teams, while enjoying a women's basketball skills session and a 3-point contest for the men. Senior
Otis Livingston II was victorious in the marksmanship competition.
