FAIRFAX, Va. – Coming off its first home loss of the season, the George Mason women's basketball team hits the road hoping to avoid something that hasn't plagued them all season.

Back-to-back losses.

The Patriots play St. Bonaventure at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Olean, N.Y. Mason (16-6, 5-3 Atlantic 10) has not lost consecutive games this season.

Fordham handed Mason a 67-62 loss on Sunday at EagleBank Arena, snapping the team's program-record 13-game home winning streak. Senior Tayler Dodson scored a season-high 16 points and graduate student Natalie Butler posted her 21st straight double-double, which leads the country, with 14 points and 20 rebounds. But the Patriots scored just two points over the final 3:43 as Fordham closed the game on a 9-2 run.

Freshman Nicole Cardano-Hillary leads the Atlantic in 10 in scoring (18.2 ppg) and steals (57). The point guard from Madrid, Spain, also ranks second among all Division I freshmen in scoring and third in steals.

Butler leads the country in rebounding (15.8 rpg) and is currently tied for the fourth-longest double-doubles streak in Division I women's basketball history with 21 straight. She is averaging 19.1 rebounds a game and has grabbed 20-plus rebounds in her last two games. The 6-foot-5 center from Fairfax Station, Va., also ranks third in the A-10 in scoring (17.7 ppg).

St. Bonaventure (7-15, 2-7) has lost three straight and is coming off a 73-59 road loss to Duquesne on Sunday. Senior guard Mariah Ruff leads the team with 15.7 points a game and ranks second in the A-10 with 4.6 assists a game.

The all-time series is tied 2-2, with all four games coming in the last four years since joining the Atlantic 10 in 2013-14. The home teams have won every game. Mason edged St. Bonaventure 52-49 on New Year's Eve in Fairfax in the teams' lone meeting last year. The teams will play twice this season, with the Bonnies coming to Fairfax on Feb. 18.
