FAIRFAX, Va. – Cheered on by its largest home crowd of the season, the George Mason women's basketball team roared back from an early double-digit deficit.
But the Patriots' first lead since the first quarter was short-lived.
Mason scored just two points over the final 3:43, falling 67-62 to Fordham on Sunday in front of a season-high crowd of 2,380 on Girl Scout Day at EagleBank Arena. The loss snapped a program-record 13-game home winning streak that spanned back to last season for the Patriots (16-6, 5-3 Atlantic 10). Mason was 12-0 at EagleBank Arena this year before Sunday's matchup. The attendance of 2,380 was Mason's most at a home game in nearly four years.
