The 5-foot-7 freshman point guard from Madrid, Spain, was instrumental in the Patriots' 74-61 come-from-behind victory over Davidson in the A-10 opener on Sunday at EagleBank Arena. She scored 18 points, grabbed five rebounds, nabbed five steals and dished out four assists. She scored 16 points and grabbed three steals in the seond half and her back-to-back baskets in the fourth quarter gave Mason the lead for good and sparked a 20-4 run to end the game.

Last Thursday against Longwood, she scored 14 points in a 60-41 victory to wrap up non-conference play. She also had five rebounds, four steals and two assists.

She currently ranks fourth in the A-10 in scoring (17.3 ppg) and has scored in double figures in all 15 games of her career. Cardaño-Hillary and the Patriots (12-3, 1-0 A-10) will be back in action at La Salle at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in Philadelphia.
