PATRIOT POINTS
• Mason is 2-3 on the road this season, while GW is 7-3 inside the Smith Center in 2017-18.
• The Patriots' 3-2 start in A-10 play is the program's best in its five-year tenure in the league.
• Mason has won 13 of its past 24 A-10 games (.542) after capturing just 12 of its first 39 (.308) from 2013-16.
• The Patriots are 3-1 in January after going 2-5 in December.
• Four of the Patriots' next six contests are on the road.

• Juniors
Otis Livingston II and
Jaire Grayer combined for 51 points against SLU. Livingston II (26 points, 7 assists) and Grayer (career-high 25 points, 7 rebounds, 9-13 FG) were stellar for the Green & Gold.
• Livingston II is averaging 26.0 points, 5.5 assists and shooting 59 percent (60.9 3pt FG%) over the past four games. He's third in the A-10 in scoring in league play (23.6 ppg).

PATRIOTS HEAT UP IN CONFERENCE PLAY (AGAIN)
Mason's season-long 3-point shooting trends in 2017-18 bare a strikingly similar resemblance to the team's ebbs and flows in 2016-17. The Patriots struggled to shoot the ball from long range in non-conference play this season, converting at a 30.5 percent clip (86-282). Since the calendar shifted to conference play, Mason has hit a much-improved 38.5 percent of its triples (40-104), which is good for first in the Atlantic 10. In 2016-17, the Patriots shot just 30.7 percent from 3-point range (80-261) in non-conference play, before ranking t-3rd in A-10 play with a 36.3 percent clip (102-281) in conference games.
HISTORY vs. GEORGE WASHINGTON
Wednesday's game marks the 21st all-time meeting in the Revolutionary Rivalry. GW holds an 18-2 advantage in the series and is 13-0 in games played inside the Smith Center. GW has captured all eight meetings in A-10 play. George Mason and George Washington are separated by just 20 miles. The Colonials won both meetings last season, including an 83-74 victory on Feb. 26 in Foggy Bottom. Three Patriots are averaging double figures in their careers against the Colonials, including
Otis Livingston II (11.0 ppg, 3.8 apg),
Jaire Grayer (10.3 ppg, 6.0 rpg) and
Ian Boyd (13.5 ppg).
HISTORY vs. TEAMS IN OUR NATION'S CAPITAL
Wednesday's game will be Mason's 114th against a Washington, D.C. college. The Patriots are 61-52 (.540) overall and 39-33 (.541) against Div. I, D.C. schools. The Patriots' most common opponents are American (31-10), GW (2-18), Gallaudet (11-4), UDC (6-12) and Howard (6-4). Mason has played Georgetown just once, with the Hoyas earning a 75-63 victory in EagleBank Arena on Dec. 3, 1985.

George Washington was picked to finish 11th out of 14 teams in the Atlantic 10 preseason poll. The Colonials went 7-6 in non-conference play, including wins over Temple and Harvard. GW won its A-10 opener vs. Saint Joseph's but has since dropped four-straight league contests. The Colonials rank in the top-5 nationally in fewest fouls per game (13.9). They also are 13th out of 14 A-10 teams and 291st nationally in field goal percentage defense (.462).
