Box Score PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Freshman Shannon Lee scored her first NCAA goal and classmate Amanda Nhek also found the back of the net, while Mason goaltender Louisa Moser made seven saves for the Patriots in a 2-2 double-overtime draw with Saint Joseph's on Thursday at Sweeney Field in Philadelphia, Pa.

Mason (4-7-1, 1-1-1 A-10) fell behind early in the first half when Saint Joseph's (6-3-2, 1-1-1 A-10) freshman midfielder Sofia Filippo scored her first NCAA goal, converting with a header off of a corner kick in the sixth minute of play to put the Hawks in front 1-0.

The Hawks recorded the first four shots on goal in the game and held the lead at the break.

The Patriots scored the equalizer early in the second half when Nhek tallied her second goal of the season on a header in the 48th minute to tie the game 1-1.  Junior Emily Littell picked up her sixth assist of the season.  Nhek has scored two goals over the last three games.

"The game was a little bit too frantic for our liking in the first half," Mason head coach Todd Bramble said.  "I felt if we could just settle down, that we could generate enough chances to get a goal and fortunately it came early in the second half off a set piece."

Saint Joseph's went back in front two minutes later, scoring in the 50th minute to take a 2-1 lead.

Late in the second half, Lee tied the game in the 82nd minute, scoring her first NCAA goal on a rebound off the crossbar to make the score 2-2.

Mason is 1-3-1 on the road.  The Patriots have allowed the first goal of the match in four of their five road contests this season.

Both teams finished with 21 shots in the game, while Saint Joseph's had 9-8 advantage in shots on goal.  The Hawks had 10 corners and the Patriots had seven.

"It was just an open game with two teams that really like to play and like to attack," Bramble said.  "Neither team was just going to sit back and defend on the night.  It was two teams committed to playing good attacking soccer and as a result of that you get a lot of shots, corner kicks and chances.  That makes for an exciting game with some pretty significant momentum swings."

Eight different players recorded a shot on goal for the Patriots.  Moser (4-3-1, 1-0-1 A-10) made a career-high seven saves in the game for Mason.

"We certainly have played three really tough teams to start conference play and two of those have been on the road," said Bramble.  "It was important that we got something from this game and considering we were down twice and had to come from behind, it was a quality point."

The Patriots return home to take on Richmond on Sunday afternoon with the kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. at George Mason Stadium.
