2006-07 to 2015-16 Another decade of success for the Patriots as they went back to the NCAA Tournament in both 2008 and 2011 and appeared in post season tournaments in 2009 (NIT), 2010 (CIT) and 2013 (CBI).
This decade also saw four of the top-10 scorers in school history play their careers including our
Player of the Decade Will Thomas (2004-2008). While his career was split between two decades, Thomas' dominance his last two seasons makes him the selection here. He finished his career
seventh on the all-time scoring list (1564 points now 9
th) and he is still the leader in career field goal percentage at 61.6 percent. His senior season 64.2 percent mark from the field is also the best in school history and his season of collecting 353 rebounds is second all-time, having just been passed by
Marquise Moore (369) in 2016-17. He finished with the third most rebounds in school history (993) and also has more career starts (118) than any other Mason player. Thomas was named to the CAA's rookie team, was a three-time CAA All-Defensive team selection as well as a member of the All CAA team in both his junior (second team) and senior (first team) years. He was a member of the 2006 Final Four squad and brought Mason back to the NCAA tournament in 2008.
