FAIRFAX, Va. – Forty-two hours after an exciting overtime victory, the George Mason women's basketball team will have to refocus as it tries to stay unbeaten at home.

The Patriots host Eastern Kentucky at 1 p.m. on Saturday at EagleBank Arena in the Game of the Week doubleheader with the men's team. Mason (8-2) has won seven straight games at EagleBank Arena, dating back to the regular-season finale last year. The Patriots are off to a 6-0 start at home this season, including a 73-70 victory in overtime over LIU Brooklyn on Thursday night.

The Blackbirds rallied back from a 16-point, second-half deficit to take a one-point lead with 49 seconds left. But Nicole Cardaño-Hillary made a layup with 11 seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime. Natalie Butler broke a 68-68 tie by sinking two free throws with 19 seconds left in overtime to push the Patriots (8-2) in front and seal their eighth victory in nine games.

Butler recorded 24 points and 19 rebounds for her ninth straight double-double (the most in the nation), Cardaño-Hillary added 23 points and fellow freshman Camarie Gatling had a career-high 14 points and personal-best 11 rebounds off the bench for her first career double-double. Butler leads the Atlantic 10 in scoring with 18.6 points per game. Cardano-Hillary is not far behind in third at 18.2 points a game. Butler also ranks second in the league with 13.9 rebounds a game.

Eastern Kentucky (2-5) suffered a 65-57 loss to Kent State on Tuesday and has lost four straight. The Colonels are led by A'Queen Hayes, who averages a team-high 14.6 points and 6.7 rebounds. The teams have met just once – more than 37 years ago. EKU defeated the Patriots 68-61 on Feb. 7, 1980.
