SKINN, KONKOL FACE FAMILIAR FOE ON TUESDAY
The Louisiana Tech coaching staff is filled with George Mason basketball connections. Head coach Eric Konkol served two stints as an assistant under former Mason head coach Jim Larranaga (2002-05, 2007-11) before joining Coach L in Miami for the 2011-12 campaign. He worked with the Patriots on two NCAA teams (2008, 2011) and two NIT-qualifying squads (2004, 2009).

In addition, Louisiana Tech assistant coach Tony Skinn starred for the Patriots at the guard position from 2003-06. He scored 1,079 career points (29th all time at Mason) and is 12th all-time at Mason in 3-point field goals made (125). He tied for the team lead with 13 points in the national semifinal loss to eventual national champion Florida.

HISTORY vs. CONFERENCE USA OPPONENTS
Mason is 28-39 (.418) all time against teams currently in Conference USA. The bulk of those meetings have come against former CAA foe Old Dominion (21-36). The Monarchs left the CAA at the conclusion of 2012-13 and joined Conference USA for the 2013-14 campaign. The two teams then played a home-and-home series in 2013-14 & 2014-15, but have not played since. In addition, Mason's most common C-USA opponents are Charlotte (3-0) and FIU (2-1).

A LOOK AT THE BULLDOGS (2-0, 0-0 CONFERENCE USA)
Louisiana Tech was picked to finish third out of 14 teams in the 2017-18 Conference USA preseason poll. The Bulldogs won their Cancun Challenge openers vs. Southeast Missouri St (96-95) and Montana State (71-58). Sophomore guard Jalen Harris leads the team in scoring (22.0 ppg), shoots 50 percent from the floor and is averaging 6.7 rebounds per contest. Daquan Bracey chips in 15.7 ppg, shoots 60.7 percent from the field and dishes out 5.3 assists per contest, while Jacobi Boykins averages 15.0 points and 6.7 rebounds. Louisiana Tech is averaging 93.0 points per game and shooting 50.8 percent as a team through three games. Both marks rank in the top-10 nationally.
