FAIRFAX, Va. - Former George Mason opposite hitter Jack Wilson has been named to the coaching staff at Eastern Mennonite University. The team announced his hiring on their Twitter page Tuesday afternoon.

Wilson finished his illustrious career as a Patriot with career averages of 3.33 kills per set, 3.93 points per set and a .246 hit percentage.

In 2017 he led the Patriots in kills (331 – third in EIVA), kills per set (3.48 – third in EIVA), attempts (717), service aces (31 at 0.33 per set – fifth in EIVA) and points (390.5). He was a Two-Time EIVA Offensive Player of the Week selection (both in 2017) and named to the 2017 All-EIVA First Team. Wilson was named to the EIVA All-Tournament Team in 2015 and 2016.

The Midlothian, Va. native spent time playing professionally in Finland before a shoulder injury cut his playing career short.

The Patriots hosted Eastern Mennonite in a exhibition tournament at the RAC in early November. In the regular season George Mason is 9-0 against the Royals with their last meeting coming in 1999.
