FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason freshman forward Jisca Adigo has been named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.

Adigo, a native of Washington, D.C., scored her first collegiate goal in a 2-2 double-overtime draw against A-10 regular-season conference champion La Salle on Thursday.

The rookie forward has appeared in 16 games for the Patriots this season, recording nine shots and four on goal.

The Patriots finished third in the Atlantic 10 with a program-record 20 points in conference play.  Mason will make its third straight appearance in the conference championship tournament.  The Patriots finished with an overall record of 6-2-2 and went 4-0-1 at home against conference opponents during the regular season.

The third-seeded Patriots are back in action on Sunday, hosting six-seeded VCU in the opening round of the Atlantic 10 Championship at 1 p.m. at George Mason Stadium.
