FAIRFAX, Va. – Mason freshman Jisca Adigo scored her first collegiate goal, while senior Daniela Neves netted her third goal of the season as the Patriots played to a 2-2 double-overtime draw against La Salle on Thursday night at George Mason Stadium.

Mason (8-8-2, 5-2-2 A-10) took the lead late in the first half when Neves scored on a corner kick in the 42nd minute to put the Patriots in front 1-0.

"The fans were certainly treated to a fast-paced and physical game," Mason head coach Todd Bramble said.  "They saw some really distinct momentum swings.  I give La Salle a lot of credit, they came out and were really good in the early part of the game.  In the end, I'm proud of our performance and our team's effort, but really disappointed when you are that close to getting three points and winning the game, that we couldn't close that out."

La Salle (13-3-2, 8-0-1 A-10) tied the game early in the second half when junior Madison Bower scored her ninth goal of the season in the 52nd minute to make the score 1-1.  Bower is tied for the Atlantic 10 lead in goals.

The Patriots stormed back and regained the lead just over a minute later when Adigo scored her first NCAA goal in the 53rd minute to give Mason a 2-1 advantage.  Adigo is the fifth Mason player to net her first career goal this season.

"I'm really happy for her," Bramble said.  "She's gotten better as the season has gone on.  Jisca is used to scoring goals and that was certainly a big one that she scored for us tonight."

With Mason holding a one-goal lead in the final minute of the second half, Explorers senior Danielle Marx netted the equalizer with just 50 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game to overtime tied 2-2.  Marx finished the game with a goal and an assist.

With the draw, the Explorers clinched the top seed in the Atlantic 10 Championship and at least a share of the A-10 regular season title.

The Patriots are currently fourth in the A-10 standings with 17 points.  Mason finished the regular season with a 4-0-1 record at home against Atlantic 10 opponents.

"This team was really good on our home field this season," said Bramble.  "We are certainly proud of that and I think a lot of it comes from the fan support that we get here.  We really appreciate the community and the students who come out and support us."

The Explorers finished with a 25-18 advantage in shots, including 9-6 in shots on goal.  Mason had seven corner kicks and La Salle had five.

Mason freshman goalkeeper Louisa Moser made seven saves, including two in overtime, tying her season-high for saves in a game.  La Salle senior goalkeeper Larisa Zambelli made four saves in the contest.

Senior forward Erin Mitchell and junior forward Rebecca Callison each recorded three shots for the Patriots.  Six different players registered a shot on goal in the game for Mason.

The Patriots conclude the regular season on Sunday at Rhode Island with the kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m. at the URI Soccer Complex in Kingston, R.I.
