FAIRFAX, Va. - The George Mason University men's basketball team (12-6, 2-3) plays the first of two games this season against the Richmond Spiders Sunday inside the Robins Center.

Tip-off between the Patriots and Spiders is set for 1 p.m. Sunday's game will be televised on the American Sports Network, featuring commentary from Ed Cohen (play-by-play) and John Griffin (color). In addition, Bill Rohland will call the game on the A-10 Digital Network, with pre-game coverage beginning at 12:45 p.m.

* The Patriots began the season 3-0 on the road for the first time since 1985-86. Mason is 4-1 in away games this season and has already doubled its road win total from the 2015-16 campaign.

* Mason is 6-2 combined in road and neutral site contests this season but just 6-4 in games played inside EagleBank Arena.

* Last time out, a poor shooting first half doomed the Patriots during a 63-56 setback to Saint Louis on Jan. 14 in Fairfax.

* Sophomore Jaire Grayer led Mason with 16 points and was 4-of-8 from 3-point territory. He has scored 10+ points in all five A-10 contests and is shooting 50.0 percent (14-28) from beyond the arc.

* In league play, Grayer is second in the A-10 in 3-point field goals made per game (2.8), sixth in 3-point field goal percentage (.500) and is seventh in blocks (1.2/contest).

* Senior Marquise Moore posted his third-straight double-double and 11th overall this season with 13 points and 16 rebounds vs. the Billikens.

* Mason is shooting 38.8 percent (33-85) from 3-point range in conference play and limiting opponents to 28.8 percent (30-104). The defensive mark ranks second in the A-10.

MARQUISE MOORE - A REBOUNDING GUIDE
Senior Marquise Moore is putting up elite rebounding totals this season, but when looking at his stats historically amongst guards, the numbers become even more impressive.

* Moore averages 8.9 defensive rebounds/game, which is tops amongst all Div. I college basketball guards since Sports-Reference.com began keeping the stat in 2009-10.

* Moore's 10.8 rebounds/game overall are tied for the most by a guard in Div. I college basketball since the 1993-94 campaign.

* Moore's overall rebounding average is tops amongst all Div. I players 6-foot-2 and under since height/rebounding were recorded extensively by the NCAA in 2001-02.

* He is the only player 6-foot-2 and under to rank in the top-50 nationally in rebounding since 2001-02. Since top-100 statistical rankings have been kept (2008-09), the next closest to Moore is Lamar's Devon Lamb (6-2, 8.3 rpg) in 2010-11.

* Over the past seven seasons, Moore is the only Div. I player 6-foot-4 and under to average 10+ rebounds/game. The last to do it was John Brown of Liberty (10.8 rpg in 2010-11).
