FAIRFAX, Va. – Capping off a three-game homestand, the George Mason women's basketball team hopes to snap a three-game losing streak as a familiar foe comes to town.
The Patriots host VCU at noon on Sunday at EagleBank Arena. The all-time series between the in-state rivals is deadlocked with the teams tied at 30-30 in 60 meetings. Both squads have split the season series the last two years.
VCU (9-9, 2-3 A-10) has lost two straight, with setbacks against Saint Louis and at Saint Joseph's. Senior guard Keira Robinson leads VCU with 11.2 points and 2.0 steals a game. The Rams rank fourth in the conference in scoring offense, averaging 64.2 points. They also haul down the most offensive rebounds of anyone in the A-10 with 15.3 a game.

Wright is off to a hot start in Atlantic 10 play. The Louisville, Ky., she is averaging 19 points –the second-highest in the A-10 – 8.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists through five conference games. For the season, she leads the team in points (15.3), rebounds (6.3), assists (3.1), steals (1.7) and 3-point shooting percentage (.382).
