FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's soccer game originally scheduled to be played at Georgetown on Thursday at 4 p.m. has been moved to Fairfax due to the forecast for excessive heat. The game will now be played on Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. under the lights at George Mason Stadium.
The Patriots are 4-1-0 at home this season, outscoring opponents by a combined score of 11-6 with two shutouts at George Mason Stadium. The Hoyas have won three in a row and have an overall record of 4-1-0, with their lone loss to No. 5 Stanford Aug. 21 by the final score of 3-0.
Mason and Georgetown are meeting for the first time since 2010. The Patriots are 3-1-0 all-time against the Hoyas.
