FAIRFAX, Va. – Playing its final regular season game of the season, George Mason men's basketball handled Richmond on Senior Night, 83-73, to complete the season sweep of the Spiders. Freshman Otis Livingston II tied his career-high of 21 points, while seniors Shevon Thompson and Marko Gujanicic added 16 points and 15 points, respectively, playing in their final home game. Thompson finished with a double-double behind 17 rebounds, two shy of his career-high.

GAME NOTES
-The Patriots exploded in the second half, scoring 54 points after standing tied at intermission. Mason held the majority of the lead the entire game as Richmond's largest and only lead was two points early in the second half.
-Mason shot 37.5 percent in the first half and held its largest advantage of six points on three occasions with the last coming after a Livingston triple with 1:24 to play in the period. Richmond finished hitting back-to-back three-pointers from Khwan Fore and ShawnDre' Jones to tie the game at 29-29 going into halftime.
-Livingston came out of the halftime break draining another triple to give Mason the edge, but Richmond would use a 7-2 run to take its first and only advantage off a T.J. Cline jumper at 17:27 for a 36-34 lead.
-Livingston responded with a 5-0 spurt to return the advantage to the Patriots as Mason never relinquished the lead thereafter. The Patriots shot 54.3 percent (19-35) in the second half to lead by as many as 24 points with just over four minutes to play.
-Mason capitalized on Livingston's 5-0 spurt and expanded it into a 24-4 run over the next seven minutes to push ahead with a 58-40 advantage at the 9:14 mark. A Thompson three-point play handed the Patriots their first 20-point advantage with over six minutes left to play and led by 20, 77-57, with 2:10 left in the game.
-Richmond cut the score to eight points with 11.8 seconds on the clock following a triple from Jones before Livingston closed the game hitting a pair of free throws with 10.8 seconds on the clock for the final score.

STAT BREAKDOWN
-Livingston tied his career-high of 21 points going 7-of-8 from the floor and hitting a perfect 5-of-5 from three-point range to set a career-high in three-pointers. Thompson and Gujanicic rounded out the trio of Patriots to post double-figure scoring numbers as Mason shot 46.3 percent (31-67) from the field.
-Richmond finished with a 40.0 percent shooting efficiency and used 13 Mason miscues to convert into 20 points. Meanwhile, Mason dominated on the glass, 55-28, and used 19 offensive rebounds for 27 second chance points.
-The Patriots scored 46 points in the paint.
-Richmond was led in scoring by T.J. Cline with 23 points and was followed by Khwan Fore (17) and ShawnDre' Jones (11).

NEXT ON THE COURT
-Mason will travel to Brooklyn, N.Y. for the 2016 Atlantic 10 Men's Basketball Championship to be played at the Barclays Center beginning on Wednesday. The Patriots earned the No. 12 seed in the tourney and will open facing No. 13-seeded Saint Louis on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ASN.
