FAIRFAX, Va. – Coming off its longest break to this point, the George Mason women's basketball team hits the road to face an undefeated foe.

The Patriots play at former Colonial Athletic Association rival Towson at 2 p.m. on Sunday at the SECU Arena in Towson, Md. After playing six games in the first 13 days, Mason last played on Wednesday. The Patriots (3-3), who left the CAA for the Atlantic 10 in 2013, hope to knock off Towson, which has won its first four games this season.

Mason is coming off a 77-76 loss to Stephen F. Austin at home on Wednesday. The Patriots led by 12 points late in the third quarter. But the Ladyjacks rallied with a 20-6 run to take the lead for good and hold on for the win. Senior Kara Wright led the Patriots with 19 points but Mason committed 23 turnovers and shot just 19 of 30 from the free-throw line.

Wright anchors Mason with 14.3 points, 2.7 assists and 2.3 steals a game. Freshman guard Jacy Bolton is also averaging double figures scoring with 10.2 points a game.

Towson (4-0) is coming off 59-48 victory at UMBC on Tuesday. The Tigers are led by senior guard Raven Bankston, who is averaging a team-high 22.8 points. Sophomore guard Sianni Martin also averages 15 points.

Bankston scored 30 points in last year's matchup between Towson and Mason. The Patriots emerged victorious with an 88-76 decision in Fairfax. Mason leads the all-times series 18-11.
