FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason women's basketball team caps off a busy two-week stretch heading into the holiday break.

The Patriots welcome in Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday at EagleBank Arena to end a three-game homestand. It will be the sixth game in 13 days for the Patriots, who get three days off after Wednesday before heading to Towson on Sunday for the first of five straight road games.

Mason (3-2) is coming off a 60-33 victory at home over Norfolk State on Monday night. The Patriots allowed just 33 points – the fewest by an opponent since Mason defeated UNC Wilmington on Jan. 12, 1991 at home at the then-Patriot Center.

Mason held Norfolk State to 25.5 percent shooting, just three points in the third quarter, forced 22 turnovers and nabbed 13 steals. The Patriots led from start to finish as senior Kara Wright had a team-high eight points and a career-high six assists. No Mason player collected more than eight points but all 13 players scored and 12 logged at least nine minutes.

Stephen F. Austin (1-2) makes the trip from Nacogdoches, Texas, about 50 miles west of the Louisiana border. The Ladyjacks will stay in the area for Thanksgiving, heading to Baltimore to play Coppin State on Friday.

Stephen F. Austin is coming off a 63-48 loss to Texas A&M on the road on Sunday. Senior Taylor Ross led the Ladyjacks with 17 points. Junior Stevi Parker (13.0 ppg),  Ross (11.0) and junior Taylor Jackson (11.0) lead Stephen F. Austin, all three averaging double figures in scoring. Mark Kellogg is in his second season as head coach and led the Ladyjacks to an 18-12 record and 12-6 mark in the Southland Conference last year.

Mason and Stephen F. Austin have met just once, with the Ladyjacks picking up a 75-52 victory on Nov. 26, 1994 at the University of Colorado Tournament in Boulder, Colo.
