FAIRFAX, Va. – Coming off its first home loss of the season, the George Mason women's basketball team looks to bounce back at EagleBank Arena.

The Patriots welcome Norfolk State at 7 p.m. on Monday for the second game of a three-game homestand. It will be the first of two games over the next three days for Mason (2-2), which hosts Stephen F. Austin at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Friday, the Patriots suffered an 81-70 loss at home to Arizona. Mason led by 14 points in the first quarter thanks to 73.3 percent shooting (11-of-15) in the opening period. But the Patriots couldn't sustain the hot shooting the entire game. They led after each of the first three quarters but Arizona crept back in the contest. The Wildcats sunk 10 3-pointers – seven in the second half – and shot 90.9 percent in the final quarter to rally and defeat Mason for the second straight year.

Freshman guard Jacy Bolton is off to a strong start, averaging 10.5 points in the first four games of her career. The Drexel, Mo., native scored a careerhigh 17 points against Arizona on Friday. She shot 5-of-6 from the field, 2-for-2 from 3-point range and 5-for-5 at the foul line. She has made all 12 of her free throws this season, leads the team in shooting percentage (.542) and ranks second in scoring.

Norfolk State (1-2) is also coming off a loss on Friday. The Spartans lost 65-54 to crosstown rival Old Dominion. Senior Jordan Strode (13.0 ppg) leads the Spartans, who have three players averaging double figures in scoring. Larry Vickers in his first season as head coach. He served as interim coach for the final 11 games last season. Previously, he spent eight years as an assistant for Norfolk State's men's team and was a former walk-on and team captain for the Spartans.

Mason is 2-2 all-time against Norfolk State. The teams last met on Jan. 2, 2012, with Norfolk State winning 60-57 in Norfolk, Va.
