Mason (2-10-2, 0-5-1 Atlantic 10) is trying to notch its first conference win of the season. The Patriots' last A-10 win came against Rhode Island nearly a year ago on Nov. 7, 2015. The 2-1 victory in Fairfax capped off a three-game winning streak to close out Mason's season.

Tunde Akinlosotu leads the team with three goals. Sophomore
Tolu Ibikunle and senior
Daniel Hoffmann have two goals apiece. Junior
Henning Dirks leads the team with six points and four assists, which is tied for third-most in the A-10. In goal, senior

Rhode Island (5-10-1, 2-4) is also looking to snap out of a bit of a slump. The Rams have lost four of five and suffered a 2-0 loss at Dayton their last time out last Saturday. Junior Nils Leifherm has made 48 saves with a save percentage of .686 and two shutouts.
This will be the seventh meeting between the teams, with the series split at 3-3. After Mason defeated the Rams at home in 2013, Rhode Island won two games in 2014 (once in the A-10 Tournament). The Patriots won the teams' most recent meeting last year, picking up a 2-1 victory at home to close out the season.
