Box Score PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The George Mason women's soccer team had its three-game winning streak snapped, falling to La Salle 4-0 on a rainy Thursday night at McCarthy Stadium in Philadelphia, Pa.
Mason (12-6-0, 6-3-0 A-10) surrendered an early chance less than two minutes into the game, forcing senior goalkeeper Kirsten Glad to make a save, diving out to her left to make a stop on La Salle junior Kristin Haugstad, who was left alone inside the box.
La Salle (4-9-4, 2-3-4 A-10) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute of play. Senior Deja Davis took a pass and then played the ball over Glad and off the post for her fourth goal of the season.

The Explorers recorded the first five shots of the game, while the Patriots didn't record a shot on goal until senior Alex Myers found the target in the 40th minute.
It's the first time in five games and just the fifth time this season that the Patriots have surrendered a goal in the first half.
The heaviest rain of the evening greeted the teams when they began play in the second half.
La Salle added to the lead in the 63rd minute when Davis scored her second goal of the game, chipping the ball past Glad to make the score 3-0. Davis finished with two goals and an assist in the game.
Sophomore Morgan Symmers replaced Glad in the 65th minute, making her third appearance of the season.
The Explorers added to the lead in the 84th minute, when Haugstad scored low inside the post past Symmers to pad the lead to 4-0.
"Full credit to La Salle tonight, they deserved the result they got," Mason head coach Todd Bramble said. "They were playing with a level of desperation that we just couldn't match. The lesson that our players will learn is this game was like a tournament game, that's the mentality that La Salle brought tonight."
The Explorers snapped a seven-game winless streak. La Salle hadn't won since edging UMass 1-0 in double-overtime on Sept. 29. Since Mason joined the Atlantic 10, the Explorers have won the last four meetings by a combined score of 16-1.
La Salle had 10 corner kicks in the game, while Mason had just one. The Explorers outshot the Patriots 22-4 in the game, including a 9-2 shots on goal advantage. Sophomore Rebecca Callison and Myers were the only two Patriots to register a shot on goal.
It's the second-most shots that the Patriots have allowed in a game this season. Mason allowed 23 shots at Virginia on Aug. 21 in a 2-0 loss.
The Patriots play their final game of the regular season on Sunday, hosting Fordham on senior day at George Mason Stadium with kickoff scheduled for 1 p.m.
