NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – For the second consecutive week, George Mason freshman Otis Livingston II picked up an Atlantic 10 Conference weekly honor, being named Co-Rookie of the Week. Livingston shares the honor with Saint Louis' Jermaine Bishop.
Livingston earned both starts in Mason's two games this week, averaging 15.5 points per game through the two contests. The Linden, N.J., native opened the week with 14 points and four assists against Saint Joseph's, shooting 54.5 percent from the field. Livingston followed that performance by matching his career-high of 17 points at Saint Louis, going 5-for-11 from the field, including a 3-for-5 effort from three-point range. Additionally, Livingston was a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line and dished out a career-best six assists against the Billikens to help Mason to its first A-10 win of the season.
For the week, Livingston shot 50.0 percent from the floor, 44.4 percent from three-point range and 83.3 percent from the charity stripe, while recording 10 assists in two games. On the season, Livingston is Mason's second-leading scorer, averaging 11.5 points per game.
The recognition marks the second for Livingston and fifth for George Mason this season.
