The George Mason women's volleyball team looks to continue their strong start this weekend as they continue tournament play with the DC Classic hosted by Howard and the University of Maryland. The tournament will feature Western Carolina, University of Pennsylvania, Howard University and the University of Maryland.

The Patriots open competition Saturday morning at Howard with Western Carolina Saturday followed by an evening match with Penn. Sunday, Mason will travel to College Park to face Howard for the second time in as many weeks at noon before concluding the tournament against Maryland at 7.

At 2-1the Patriots enter the weekend following the program's best opening weekend since 2009 following wins over Georgetown and Howard.  

Up next, Mason travels to St. John's for the Jack Kaiser Volleyball Classic September 11-12.
