The George Mason women's basketball team has announced the addition of two transfers Wednesday. April Hanson and Sylvia Maxwell will be eligible to compete for head coach Nyla Milleson and the Patriots in the 2016-17 season. Both are already on Mason's campus, joining freshman Jewel Triggs and Chinyere Bell.

Henson joins the Patriots from Drexel University after spending her freshman season injured. Prior to Drexel, the 5'8” guard from Lorton, Va. competed basketball all four years at South County High School, where she was twice named a First Team All-District selection (2012-13, 2013-14).

Maxwell comes to Fairfax after three seasons at Niagara University where she averaged 4.07 points per game for her career. The 5'7” guard averaged 6.2 points in 16.6 minutes per game with 54 assists in her junior year. Had a career-high 16 points in three games, including the season-opener against Youngstown State. Prior to Niagara, the Lansing, MI. native earned four varsity letters in basketball from Eastern High School and Waverly High School.
