George Mason baseball's Kent Blackstone earned Atlantic 10 Baseball Co-Player of the Week honors after a strong week on the field as announced by the conference on Monday.
Blackstone played in all five games this past week, batting .474 with 9 hits in 19 plate appearances. The Vienna, Va. native scored a team-high six runs and added six RBI to bring his season total to 33, also a team high.
Blackstone also notched three doubles and his NCAA-leading eighth triple of the season as Mason went 3-1-1 spanning the week while walking three times as well for an on-base percentage of .565 and a slugging percentage of .737.
Blackstone and the rest of the Patriots begin another five-game week on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. in Bethesda, Md. vs. Georgetown.
