Biography

2015: One of two players to play in and start all 51 games... Started games at first base, third base, shortstop, outfield and DH... Batting average of .256 with 50 hits and 31 runs scored... Led the team in extra base hits with 12 doubles, eight triples and three homeruns... His eight triples tie a school record for a single season and second in the country at the end of the regular season... Team-high 42 RBI and 32 walks... .446 slugging percentage was second on the team... 4-5 stolen bases... Walkoff single in the 10th inning vs. George Washington on 4/26... Reached base in 19 consecutive games this season... 12 multi-RBI games led the squad.

At New Mexico State: Appeared in 46 games his freshman season, batting .229 with two homeruns, 20 RBI and 27 runs scored... Average improved to .251 his sophomore season in 52 games played, starting 49... Two homeruns and 17 RBI while leading the team with 11 stolen bases.

Prep:  Was a three-year varsity starting shortstop at George C. Marshall High School where he played every single inning at shortstop for three years, as well as serving as team captain for his junior and senior seasons. .. Was the team's most valuable player, hitting .379 and had an OPS of 1.245, including four home runs, four triples and only making one error all season his senior year...  Named first team All-Liberty District, All-Northern Region Virginia and All-Metropolitan Area (for Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC, by the Washington Post) at shortstop and led the Statesmen to the regional playoffs...  He was the first All-Met team member in the last 20 years for Marshall High School.  As a junior, was named first team All-Liberty District shortstop, hitting three home runs while batting .417 and had an OPS of 1.085...  Also played point guard for the Statesmen's basketball team and helped the team reach the regional playoffs as a sophomore.

Personal: Born in Plano, Texas but grew up in Vienna, Virginia...  He is the son of Frank and Alison Blackstone and has a younger brother, Mitch, who is a catcher at Marshall High School... Majoring in business.
