Freshmen Xavier King, Jr. and Taylor Sharpe highlighted day on of the Raleigh Relays for George Mason Track and Field Friday at NC State.
King, Jr. took Mason's top finish of the day, coming in at second place in the men's 400m dash with a time of 47.88. Sharpe finished third in the women's 400m with a mark of 55.62.
Senior Anthony Williams advanced to the finals of the men's 110m high hurdles finishing fifth in prelims with a time of 14.57. On the field, Michelle Wallerstedt took sixth place in the women's discus with a distance of 46.52m.
Teddy Murphy missed qualifying for the finals, but his time of 14.85 is good to qualify for the IC4As. Senior Bethany Sachtleben set a personal record in the 5000m with a time of 16:22.43 moving her to the top spot in the Atlantic 10 and improving on her number three spot on Mason's All-Time list.
Michael Conway and Steve Flynn also qualified for the IC4As. Conway finished with a time of 29:48.37 in the 10,000m, good for first in the A-10 and third on Mason's All-Time list. Flynn qualified in the 5000m, improving his third overall time on Mason's All-Time list and move into first in the A-10.
