The Patriots host their first game of the 2015 season when Yale visits on Thursday. The Patriots have spent the first four weekends on the road in Florida, South Carolina and two separate trips to North Carolina. March 12th is the latest home opener for the Patriots since they opened against Cornell in 2003 on March 8th.
Mason comes into Thursday with an overall record of 4-7 after winning one of three against Marshall this past weekend in Thomasville, NC. Junior transfer Kent Blackstone has three homeruns and 13 RBI through the first 11 games of the season. Freshman Tyler Nelin has also added two homeruns and nine RBI while leading the team with a .412 batting average in eight games played.
Yale has played four games this season and has either scored or allowed at least 13 runs in each contest. The Bulldogs lost 30-2 to Richmond and 23-2 at Davidson last weekend while also defeating the Wildcats 22-3. Most recently Yale lost at Duke, 13-3. In only four games Harrison White is batting .636 with three doubles and three RBI.
