George Mason and James Madison renew a longtime rivalry on Saturday when the teams face each other again for the first time since 2013. The Patriots and Dukes meet for the 95th time in program history on Saturday, marking the longest all-time series for each school.
Mason has won 19 of the past 20 decisions, including nine straight, against Madison, with the lone loss in that streak coming in a two-point decision at Madison in 2009.
Mason enters the matchup off a home loss on Tuesday against Northern Iowa. The Panthers' strong shooting from three-point range propelled the visiting squad to victory. Marquise Moore led Mason with 15 points and was one of three Patriots to reach double-figures.
JMU comes into Saturday winners of five straight, most recently a 107-84 victory over Marshall. The Dukes are 4-2 at home this season, having fallen only to UT Martin and Oral Roberts. Shakir Brown leads JMU on the season, averaging 15.0 ppg and 7.4 rpg on average.
