NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — After being named on the Southeast All-Region team due to finishing 15th in last week's regional race, junior Steven Flynn continued his impressive season by finding a place on the Atlantic 10 Conference's Men's Academic All-Conference Team, which was released on Wednesday.
The Criminology student, who has been Mason's top runner over the course of this season, was one of the seven A-10 runners who have a GPA of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale) for their entire academic career to be selected by the league's Sports Information Directors. The others men who were honored were Davidson's Ryan Phillips and Daniel Samet, Dayton's Hunter Johnston, George Washington's Ryan Tucker, Massachusetts' Paolo Tavares and Saint Joseph's Dan Savage.
