NEWS & NOTES
After nearly a month on the road, the George Mason women's soccer team returns to Fairfax for a pair of weekend A-10 matches. The Patriots welcome UMass first on Thursday for a 7 p.m. meeting at George Mason Stadium.

Mason opened A-10 play posting a 1-1 record, defeating St. Bonaventure before falling at Dayton. Alex Myers scored a pair of goals against the Flyers, but it wasn't enough to overcome a three goal first-half from the home squad. Sarah Hardison continues to lead the Patriots with seven goals on the season, while Myers follows closely with four.

UMass enters Thursday action after opening league play at home last weekend. The Minutewomen posted a 1-0-1 ledger off two double-overtime matches. UMass opened A-10 play defeating La Salle 1-0, scoring with 46 seconds left before playing to a 2-2 draw against Richmond on Sunday. Megan Burke leads the team with five points.
