FAIRFAX, Va. – George Mason got up early in the second half, but it wasn't enough as the men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision at home against Duquesne. The Patriots have three regular season matches remaining.

MATCH NOTES
-After playing through a scoreless first 45 minutes, Mason got on the board in the 52nd minute when Alex Wrona converted for the 1-0 lead.
-From the far corner of the penalty box, Henning Dirks found Wrona at the near post as Wrona put it away from 2-yards out behind the keeper.
-Less than a minute later, Duquesne knotted the score at 1-1. Bryan Fegley scored the equalizer from 15-yards out, finding the bottom right corner of the net.
-The game remained tied for nearly the next 20 minutes, but the Dukes took advantage of a foul in the box as Colin Phillips converted on the penalty kick for the 2-1 lead.
-Duquesne added to its advantage four minutes later on an unassisted tally from Bendik Hellstroem at the 74:21 mark for the final 3-1 decision.

STAT BREAKDOWN
-Steffen Kraus came up with three saves on the evening as Duquesne registered six shots on goal.
-Mason placed five shots on target as Sam Frymier stopped four attempts.
-Corner kicks were even at 8-8.
-Duquesne narrowly held the overall shot advantage, 15-14.

-Mason hits the road for the next pair of matches beginning at Fordham on Sunday. Match time is slated for 1 p.m. in the Bronx.
