Coming off a road game, the George Mason men's soccer team returns to Fairfax for a midweek matchup on Wednesday welcoming the Duquesne Dukes for the first time to George Mason Stadium. Mason has one final regular-season home match following Wednesday's meeting.
Mason made a trip to Saint Joseph's on Saturday, playing to its second conscutive 1-1 double-overtime draw. Jannik Eckenrode pushed the Patriots in front with a tally in the first half, but the Hawks forced overtime converting on a penalty kick late in the second half. Eckenrode's goal marked his second of the season, putting him in a five-way tie for second in goals on the team. Matt Tucker leads the offense with three goals and seven points.
Duquesne enters Wednesday's contest after a 0-0 draw at VCU on Saturday and looks for its first win in four contests. The Dukes sit tied for eighth in the A-10 standings and seek their second road conference win of the season in Fairfax. Colin Phillips leads the Dukes with 17 points on the season behind seven goals and three assists. Five additional Dukes own one goal each.
