George Mason returns back home to the Patriot Center to host UMass in a Sunday matinee at 1 p.m. The two teams will meet for the third time in program history as they split the home-and-home series last season with each team taking their respective road decisions.
Mason is coming off its first A-10 road contest, falling at Richmond, 75-65 despite a double-double from Shevon Thompson. The junior paced the Patriots with 19 points and 17 rebounds, while Patrick Holloway chipped in 17 points, all coming in the second half.
UMass picked up its first A-10 win on the road, coming in a 71-65 victory at La Salle. Four Minutemen average double-figures on the season paced by Maxie Esho with a 13.9 points per game average. Cady Lalanne is second on the team in scoring (12.5 ppg) and first in rebounding (8.7 rpg). UMass owns a 1-4 record on the road this season.
