FAIRFAX, Va. - Goalkeeper Steffen Kraus has been named to this week's Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week in recognition of his performance against UMBC on Saturday.
Kraus made a season-nine saves in the contest, five in the first half to earn his seventh victory of the season. The sophomore currently ranks second nationally in save percentage (.963) and third in goals-against average (.124), allowing on one in eight games this season.
Kraus is the second Patriot to earn Team of the Week honors this season, joining Timi Mulgrew after he scored four goals and added one assist in the first weekend of the season.
The Patriots hold their ranking of 20th in the latest NSCAA Coaches Poll while also being named to the top-20 by Top Drawer Soccer (18th), SoccerAmerica (18th) and College Soccer News (20th).
