The 2014-15 George Mason basketball season will tip-off on Saturday, October 18 at Mason Madness 2014!  The event begins at 8 p.m. in the Patriot Center and doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the show.  Mason fans are encouraged to arrive early to ensure they receive the best seating in the Patriot Center.

The night's festivities will include performances by Peter Rabbit & Snap Boogie from America's Got Talent, Urbanknowlogy, the Masonettes, the Mason cheerleading squad and Doc Nix & the Green Machine! 

It'll also be your first chance to see the men's and women's basketball squads in action, as both Coach Paul Hewitt's men's team and Coach Nyla Milleson's women's team will be on the floor in their annual Green & Gold scrimmages.

The George Mason Athletics box office in the Patriot Center will be open during the show, allowing attendees access to an exclusive pre-sale opportunity to purchase tickets to the home opener on November 14.  Both teams will be in action opening night in the Patriot Center, as the women's team starts the evening off hosting Virginia Tech, followed by the men taking on Cornell.

Following Mason Madness, fans can head outside to view a fireworks show over Mason Pond courtesy of the Indian Graduate Student Association.
