Coming of its second win of the season, the George Mason women's soccer team continues this seven-game road swing with a visit to Liberty on Tuesday. The meeting between the Patriots and Flames marks the second in program history as Mason makes its second trip to Lynchburg.
Kelly Pizzingrilli and Emily Harvey led Mason to a 2-0 shutout on Sunday over the Mountaineers as Sydney Mitchell and Niomi Serrano each were credited with assists in the contest. Five different Patriots have scored this season as Mitchell leads the team in assists with three.
Liberty comes into Tuesday play after a victory over Davidson on Thursday, moving the Flames to 3-3 on the season. Alanna Dunkle and Crystal Elmers both lead the Flames with two goals apiece this season, while goalkeeper Holly Van Noord has earned all six starts, recording 23 saves and a 0.95 goals-agaisnt-average.
