Martin with 12 Kills as Women's Volleyball Swept by Delaware

Junior Morghan Martin  led all scorers with 12 kills as the George Mason women's volleyball wrapped up the weekend at the 38th Annual University of Delaware Invitational with a 3-0 (17-25; 15-25; 17-25) loss to the host Blue Hens.

The Patriots battled in each set with four lead changes and nine ties throughout the match. However, the Blue Hens were quick to respond when they lost serve, siding out 39 time out of 50 attempts, good for a side out efficiency of 77%.

Kelly Schaller once again led the Patriots in assists with 14 on the match while Lola Owokoniran's three blocks fueled Mason defensively.

Stephi Matsushima was named to the all tournament team after stepping up for the Patriots in the libero position with 22 digs and five assists on the weekend.

Next up, the Patriots head to Loretto, Pa. for the a tournament at St. Francis. They will face Loyola (MD), St. Francis and Morgan State.
