Box Score 1 |
Box Score 2 Sophomore Jessie Greenslade earned a spot on the All-Tournament team after posting 28 kills over three matches with an average of 2.55 kills per set to go along with 25 digs on the weekend. American University's Moika Smidova earned tournament MVP.
Three Patriot, including Greenslade, posted double-double Saturday as Mason fell in four sets (22-25;25-22;23-25;13-25) to Georgetown in their second game of the D.C. Volleyball Challenge.
Greenslade led the way 13 kills and 13 digs while registering just five errors on the afternoon while junior Morghan Martin added 11 kills and 15 digs of her own and Kelly Schaller contributed 11 digs to go along with 35 assists. Tiffany Clark led all participants with 14 kills.
Mason later closed out the two day Challenge when they faced 24th ranked American. The Eagles hard-hitting offense proved too much for the Patriots and they would go on to win in straight sets (13-25;8-25;15-25).
George Mason is back at it again Sunday afternoon when the Patriots welcome UMET Puerto Rico to the RAC at 2 P.M. for an exhibition match.
