Head coach Nyla Milleson announced two more additions to their roster Tuesday morning with the addition of transfer Bridget O'Donnell and freshman Desare Williams. While Williams will be able to contribute to the Patriots immediately, O'Donnell will have to sit out the 2014-15 season due to NCAA DI transfer rules.

“We are very excited for these two young women to join our Mason Family,” Milleson said.

O'Donnell, a junior center from UMBC, saw action in 48 games over two seasons for the Retrievers including 27 starts. In addition to leading the America East with 1.6 blocks per game, the 6'6” New Jersey native shot just over 42% from the field and averaged 6.1 points and 5.0 rebounds per game as a starter in her sophomore campaign.

“Bridget brings a wealth of experience and leadership to our team,” Milleson said. “Her size will give us a presence in the paint and allow us to expand our game defensively.   She is a very versatile post player that will fit well in our system.”

Williams, a 5'6” guard from Stonewall Jackson high school, averaged just over four points per game in her senior season. The Manassas native was part of the Stonewall Jackson squad to make it to the Virginia AAA girls' basketball semifinal in 2013.

“Desare comes from a quality program in Stonewall Jackson high school,” Milleson said.  “She will bring us outstanding work ethic, intensity and a winning attitude every day.”

With these two final additions, there will be a total of 10 new faces on the Patriots' roster, with five freshman available to contribute in the 2014-15 season.
