The George Mason women's volleyball team will open the 2014 season starting on August 29 with the first of four non-conference tournaments before opening Atlantic 10 Conference play at the end of September.
“We have a good mix of returning players and newcomers, and we're looking forward to the start of the season,” said head coach Pat Kendrick. “With the variety of home tournaments and away competition, we'll be ready for the rigors of the A-10 schedule.”
First up is the D.C. Volleyball Challenge hosted by the Patriots and American University Aug. 29-30. The first day of play will be held at AU where Mason will open the season against Howard. The tournament moves to the RAC on the 30th for the first home match of the season.
