Men's Volleyball Hosts Harvard and Sacred Heart This Weekend

The George Mason men's volleyball team takes on two EIVA opponents this weekend.  The Patriots play Harvard on Friday, March 7 and Sacred Heart on Saturday, March 8.  The Patriots are coming off two four-set losses to EIVA opponents St. Francis and Penn State.

MENS VOLLEYBALL at Harvard

Records: Mason (6-8); Harvard (8-4)

When: Friday, March 7, at 7:00 p.m.

NOTES:

This will be the eleventh time these two teams meet since 2003.  The Patriots were swept earlier this season at Harvard.  However, Mason has had success against the Crimson recently, winning 9 out of the last 12 matches.

The Crimson comes into this match with an overall record of 8-4.  Harvard has an impressive conference record this year at 6-1 as well.  After losing its only EIVA match to Penn State, the Crimson have won three matches in a row.

Junior, Dj White leads Harvard with 125 total kills.  Nick Bendell has a team-high 397 assists this season.  Meanwhile, Chris Gibbons leads the team with 107 digs on defense.

Records: Mason (6-8); Sacred Heart (7-10)

When: Friday, March 8, at 4:00 p.m.

NOTES:

This will be the eighth time these two teams meet since 2003.  The Patriots won their last two matches against the Pioneers before losing earlier this season 3-1.  Mason has won four out of the last seven matches against the Pioneers.

Sacred Heart comes into this match with an overall record of 7-10.  The Pioneers hold a conference record of 2-4.  After losing to Erskine, the Pioneers have won two matches in a row.  Before playing Mason, Sacred Heart will take on Princeton on March 7th.

Senior, Brad Borsay leads Sacred Heart with 148 total kills on the season.  Rj Uhlir has dished out a team-high 412 assists this season.  Meanwhile, AJ Logosh leads the Pioneers with 111 digs on defense.
