The George Mason men's basketball team closes out regular season road play with the first-ever visit to La Salle on Thursday. The teams meet for the first time in program history at 8 p.m. as the game will be televised on NBCSN.
Mason enters its final two games of the regular season off a loss at local rival George Washington. Senior Bryon Allen surpassed the 1,000 career points mark against the Colonials to become the 33rd Patriot in program history to join the 1,000-point club. Fellow classmate Sherrod Wright led the Patriots at GW with 16 points.
La Salle comes into Thursday with a two-game win streak that snapped a five-game skid prior to the win over St. Bonaventure. The Explorers are 9-4 at home this season with four conferece victories in the Tom Gola Arena. Tyreek Duren leads the squad with a 14.8 ppg average. Tyrone Garland and Jerrell Wright each average 13.0 ppg.
