The Patriots wrapped up their weekend at the Raleigh Relays with a strong outing led by a first place finish from Mandissa Marshall in the pole vault with a height of 4.25m.
Staying on the field, Nhautrey Brown took fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 12.22m and Michelle Wallerstedt finishing fourth in the discus thrown with a distance of 48.83m.
On the track, Mason's relay teams once again posted excellent results. The women's 4x400m relay team of Daianna Barron, Taylor Wheaton, Caela Williams and Dominique Graham finished first with a time of 3:40.74. The 4x200m team of Barron, Shavon Briscoe, Jasmine Robinson and Graham took the second overall spot and top collegiate spot with a time of 1:36.97.
The men's 4x200m team of DaQuan Smalls, Taylor Sykes, George Empty and Walter Mitchell took the fourth overall and second collegiate spot with a time of 1:24.71. The 4x400m squad of Zamier Johnson, Jordan May, Empty and Sykes finished eighth with a time of 3:12.31.
Several individuals performed well on the track with Briscoe finishing third in the 100m hurdles with a time 13.65, Wheaton finished sixth in the women's 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.26 and Anthony Williams finished fifth in the men's 100m hurdles with a time of 14.24.
