The George Mason men's basketball team opens a two-game road swing visiting Duquesne on Saturday for the seventh meeting between the two programs in history. The Patriots fell to the Dukes in Fairfax on December 21, 2011 and last visited Duquesne on Dec. 22, 2010, walking away with an 85-79 double-overtime victory. Mason leads the all-time series, 4-2.
Mason is coming off a tough loss against Dayton at home. Sherrod Wright led the way for the Patriots with 18 points, followed by Bryon Allen with 16 points. Corey Edwards contributed 10 points, while Erik Copes pulled down a team-best nine rebounds.
With a 6-5 overall record at home and 2-2 league mark in the A.J. Palumbo Center, Duquesne comes into Saturday's contest on a two-game skid after dropping a 71-57 decision at George Washington. Ovie Soko leads the Dukes with 18.1 ppg and 7.7 rpg averages.
