George Mason women's basketball heads to Philadelphia, Pa. to take on La Salle Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the fourth meeting between the programs and the second this season. Mason trails 0-3 in the series after the Explorers took the first meeting of the season with a 65-50 win in the Patriot Center. Three Patriots scored double-digits in the first meeting led by Taylor Brown with 12 points. Janaa Pickard posted a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds, while Reana Mohamed scored 10 in the losing effort.
Last time out the Patriots fell 103-81 at Dayton despite career numbers from freshman Brittany Jackson. In just her second start with Mason, Jackson put up 12 points while pulling down five rebounds. Brown led the way offensively with 30 points and narrowly missed her second career double-double with nine rebounds. Sandra Ngoie also had stellar numbers in the losing effort with 21 points and six rebounds.
The Explorers fell at Saint Louis 53-45 on Feb, 1st. Alicia Cropper led the way in the loss with 22 points followed by Micahya Owens with 12. On the season, La Salle is averaging 57.9 points per game led by Cropper with 13.5 points and Owens with 12.7.
