FAIRFAX, Va – Hunter Stevens has been selected as the EIVA Defensive Player of the Week.  The junior contributed a total of 13 blocks in a two matches against NJIT and Rutgers-Newark

To go along with his 13 blocks, the middle blocker also contributed 19 total kills with zero errors in both matches.  He posted a combined attack percentage of .698 against the two EIVA opponents.

Stevens leads the team in blocks with 70 so far this season.

Meanwhile, Christian Malias has been selected as an Off the Block/Springbak, Inc. honorable mention for National Freshman of the Week award.

The outside hitter contributed a total of 15 kills against NJIT and Rutgers-Newark. Malias also had seven total blocks and three service aces to help the Patriots sweep both EIVA opponents.
