A strong second half wasn't enough for the Patriots Saturday as they dropped a 57-53 decision at St. Bonaventure.

Once again it was the tale of two halves for Mason who trailed 29-18 heading into the break after shooting just 25.9% from the field and 16.7% from beyond the arc in the first 20 minutes of play. The Patriots came out strong in the second half and outscored the Bonnies 35-28 shooting 33.3% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc.

The defensive effort also saw improvements from the first half. After the Bonnies connected on 43% of shots  from the field and 57% from beyond the arc, Mason held them to just 29.2% from the field and 20% from three.

Taylor Brown led the way with 16 points and seven rebounds, Sandra Ngoie came in just behind her with 16 points and six rebounds. Janaa Pickard contributed 13 points in the loss while Kyana Jacobs a career-high 11 rebounds.
