FAIRFAX, Va. – The George Mason baseball team (3-0) begins travel to Myrtle Beach, SC for the 15th Annual Caravelle Resort's Baseball at the Beach on Wednesday.

The Patriots will play three games over four days, beginning with a 4 p.m. contest vs. Coastal Carolina (1-2) on Thursday, February 20. Mason plays next on Friday, February 21 against Illinois (1-2) before playing the two final games on Saturday, February 22 against Wichita St.(4-0) at 10 a.m. and Connecticut (0-3) at 5 p.m. All games will be played at TicketReturn.com field, the minor league home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. This will by Mason's third appearance in the Baseball at the Beach tournament. 

Mason returns to South Carolina after starting the season 3-0 in Spartanburg last weekend. The team collected wins over Morehead St. (14-4, 22-5) and USC Upstate (7-0), outscoring its opponents 43-9. The Patriots set a new game team doubles record in the 22-5 win over Morehead St. on Sunday. Senior Chris Cook currently leads the team with a .615 batting average, two homeruns and nine runs scored while senior Tucker Tobin has a team-high seven RBI through three games. Seniors Jared Gaynor and Anthony Montefusco each won their starts on the mound and come into the weekend with a 0.00 ERA.
